Old Gold frame turned into a fancy chalkboard

Ok so this picture isn't the best, but I think the chalkboard turned out cute even so.

Gold Frame

I went shopping at the local thrift store with some friends today and what a find. I got this frame for a whopping 3.98. What a deal. Mom you would be proud. The lady at the register looked at my frame and said, "what a great deal, this is a very expensive frame." I had to chuckle to myself because, really its not an expensive frame. Its made out of plastic. I'm not sure what color to paint it yet, or if I want to make it into a chalkboard or a mirror. Any suggestiong? I will post the AFTER pictures when I finish it.
